The effects of tachycardia from cannabis most certainly does vary from strain to strain, and as Offline81renaissanceM pointed out it's more common with Sativas, at least from my experience....


Cannabis causes your blood vessels to dilate, your blood pressure drops, and heart rate increases....You will often feel this happen instantly when ya take a large toke


I remember when i first started smoking there were a few times that my heart felt as if it was about to beat out of my chest. I still get a rapid heart beat occasionally from smoking, but i don't even really pay attention to it.


If it's to the point that it's bothering you, relax, take a few slow deep calm breathes and focus on lowering your heart rate....It works

I think around 60 Cannabinoids have been identified so far in Cannabis, though Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), Cannabinol (CBN), and Cannabidiol (CBD) are typically found in higher concentrations than the rest. Terpenes/essential oils also contribute to the effects we get from cannabis...


Then there are also endocannabinoids that are produced within our bodies, such as Anandamide...
