Growery, Indica vs Sativa

Happy Tuesday! :elmobong:

I know this has been done before, but the TSL needs more life, so this will at least stimulate conversation for the bored and stoned. :lol: :bonghit:


you are given a quality indica and a quality sativa to choose from, which do prefer?



This is a no brainer for me- INDICA. I am an indica man all the way. A THROUGH AND THROUGH INDICA FREAKA!  :fuckyeahdance: :dancingbear::rofl:

Maybe for other people, their bodies work differently, but for me I almost always prefer full indica or indica dominant strains to full sativa or sativa dominant ones. The only exception being months of smoking nothing but indica heavy stains, I then like to have the option to also smoke a sativa.

For me indicas always get me high, I always feel it in my body, and also feel relaxed and have a good mental stone.

Indicas also help my stomach and any other medical problems more than sativas, because of their higher CBD content and whatnot.  :drugnerd:

I am smoking a sativa dom strain right now, Strawberry Blue, and it's nice especially since I've gotten used to it, but I still would like an indica.

I understand for people with no tolerance a sativa might feel more psychedelic without the body effects so it's clearer, but for the elite smokers tolerance nothing beats a good indica or a tasty indica dom hybrid.

:zomgwtf: I tried to edit the poll, I was gonna include STAL,Indica dominant hybrid  Sativa dominant hybrid, and 50/50 hybridbut there is some stupid glitch!

I love the idea of getting energetic from smoking, but in 6 years of everyday smoking that never happened to me  :begger:

Idk I guess I can't trust dealers to even know the actual strain they have, much less tell me the truth.

I don't really get energetic either, but there are some that make me sit the fuck down and some I feel like doing something. Usually related to the dominance of the strain.

I'm a daily smoker, and I've got rockstar tolerance; if I want something to rocket me into the stratosphere, bring on Neville's Haze, Jack Herer, Bangi Haze, actually anything that says "haze" and is a 100% sativa.  Tachycardia, racing thoughts, lot's of energy, that's the joy of cannabis for me right there.
Indicas (again, for me) typically have a lower ceiling, or if they have a high ceiling, they're a guaranteed weed nap.  I want to be able to get lifted, then get lifted higher, and then start flying...indicas; well, there's only so far you can fall.

agree. Super silver haze or ghost train haze every time. Iv done 20 mile bike rides with nothing more than water granola bar and a couple joints of a solid haze.

I don't really know that I can distinguish the weeds. I always mix up my buds anyway but I think indica is what I like. 

Is sour d indica cause I like that shit you can smell from the next town over.

Sour d is a sativa heavy hybrid. If you like that you should check out chem dog. It's where sour d gets its heavy sweet stink and is almost full sativa from what I recall.

Ha ha ha....such a joke.....I've mixed up sativas and indicas so many times and told people there the opposite and the people smoking the indica got energized and the ones smoking the sativas got burned out.
Just like the organic, hydro test I did where people who smoked the hydro were making comments like "I can taste the earth" stupid granola eater and "the chemical taste is funny to me" when smoking the organic.

Just find a strain you like and smoke it.

I had a strain called bubble gum that made me racey and paranoid. I'm surprised that more people here don't get the stimulant side from weed. A lot of time if I'm nodding off but I wanna stay up a bit longer I'll do a bong hit to perk myself up.

This is true to a degree, but even you have to admit the objective differences between a pure haze and a heavy indica.
I've NEVER had my heart race like the first time I smoked a pure haze sativa.  It's one thing to posit a placebo effect in the general population, but another to deny the actual differences in psychoactive compounds present in various strains of cannabis.

Idk what strains 99.99% of weed I smoked were. But one thing is for sure, if i keep smoking the same strain, it stops getting me stoned. I think it's all about switching it up.

So even if there was an undisputable best strain, I wouldn't want it all the time

Yea man, 100 percent indica and 100 percent sativa are night and day...Example: Durban Poison and Romulan

I could tell the difference all day.

Hybrids depend a lot on harvest times. Well, I guess they all to do a degree.

Yeah so many of the hybrids seem so diluted and all flavor and production based. I agree if you got a local smoke from Thailand and Afghanistan you could tell the difference all around.

Actually, I do believe I owe sativa a little more credit. I am smoking one right now in fact, a sativa dominant hybrid, and am higher than have I have been for a long long time.:vaped:

When you have a well grown, well cured Sativa and/or you just smoke enough it can send you to outer space in a different way. I am there right now. :lol:

I just prefer indicas for the medical qualities and the realiable stone.

but for me usually it's:

indica = recreational smoke

sativa = medicinal smoke

I usually get to choose what side of the spectrum I can buy, but recently been getting flooded with A LOT of sativa's/sativa dominant for some reason. :shrug:
