 DIY Level Indicator/Drain for the hydro guys.

This will work in both DWC and Hempy type setups.
Materials:
3/8 Barb 90* - 1/4 npt fitting $3
3/8 clear vinyl hose $4
7/16 drill bit (already owned)
1/4 NPT tap around $10
Directions:
Drill hole at the bottom of your bucket/container with required drill bit.
Then run the tap through there, if your tap is sharp you should have no problem spinning it by hand.
Attach desired length of hose (DWC guys will obviously want their's the height of the container while hempy's can use a considerably shorter piece)to the barb fitting.
Thread into bucket and done, you may want to use some pipe tape or pipe "dope" to ensure a leak free seal. Also, these are NPT threads so they have a taper for sealing purposes, so make sure you thread into the bucket not too much, but until it gets snug. Three to four turns should be plenty.
Where ever the level in the bucket wil be transferred to the tube, go fill it up and check it out.
While you may be thinking its just novel, its dual purpose, just turn it to the side and it makes a great drain, especially valuable to those trying to flush their hempy bucket. I have heard quite a few people talk about that part being a real PITA.
