my friend woke up only because his feet were starting to burn.

he punched out the glass in the tiny little window and cut himself trying to squeeze through right before he dropped two stories to the ground.

in court that bitch just sat there looking at her feet like nothing happened while my friend sat there shaking.

That's the problem with prohibition.  No one is willing to be very open about having or needing to acquire a substance so it makes the underground trade quite difficult.

You can't just set up a little fruit stand style shop on the corner with a bunch of different clones, full grown plants, and colas hanging like chickens.  That'd be the day.  You just have to establish yourself where ever you have landed and start meeting people, go to parties, etc...

If you are really good you can pick out the people who would be of some help just by looking at them.  Every single time I have gone on vacation I have found what I was looking for within 1 hour.  Be subtle at first to break the ice, then just come out with it.  If its not promising move on...  Just don't draw attention to yourself like a crackhead begging for change.
