I guess what I meant to ask was do you figure that you get more highs out of the extracted oil than you would if you just smoked the half ounce of bud? I've always wondered whether or not it was worth it or just a novelty.

Nice looking Hash!
As far as if its worth it or not, I would say yes. When you have access to alot of "greenery" and it was going to the trash anyways due to lack of quality, I would definatly say yes. Both hashes are basically the same thing, a collection of the trichomes.
Not really sure I would want to smoke the stuff I make bho with anyways. Herb is fairly plentiful and always of excellent quality, so to have a little free (minus the butane) bho is always a plus:). I would prolly not take the only herb I had and turn it into bho though unless I had an abundance

the material i started with was treated very nicely vs street handled weed & contained more trichome heads than broken fragments of trichome. since there are so many heads with a very low contaminates, the material melts.

TNG, your hash is absolutely amazing. Have a favor to ask you. Next time you make a run and make some more, how about making a small tutorial? I'm always personally interested in seeing how others make their own hash, and judging from your pictures, you've got your methods down to a science.

i pretty much just grind the buds with a sweatleaf grinder & dump it over the screen without shaking it around. load a few bowls like that & there is a pile left on the glass under the screen in 3 - 5 bowl loads.
the key to any hash making is to be gentile & start with high quality material.
