Buy a gram of good weed
opposed to
a dub(20 sac)
Basically why is it better to buy quality over quantity?
Argue either side.
I prefer to buy the best weed I can.
Reasons:
-High
-Taste
-Less to get me high. (one hitter)
-Duration
If I smoke with a bunch of people (ie. party), it makes more sense to buy a bunch of mid or schwag or regi whatever you call it. But good weed in my book always gets my $ before mids.

What's funny is that on the Big Island of Hawaii, a gram of weed is $20!
I guess its how Hawaii is: everything, the food, gas, beer, hookers...everything is more expensive in the Island State, even weed! And most of its grown here too!
I guess dealers know the economy, even the black one, pretty well over here.

at $5/g and $100/oz it's what I buy the majority of the time. I like to smoke all day long and it's hard to do so with dank unless you're slinging it 
but really though I've pondered the subject often.. maybe if I actually smoked less of the good at a time but usually a bowl is a bowl no matter what I pack so usually 4x the price isn't really worth it.
Most of the "exotic" or "presidential" is handled by "urban" types in this area that like to "hustle" for every little penny they can. I pity the fools around here paying $25-30/g and $450+ an ounce so whenever I do get dank I like to pick up enough to last a bit and makes some friends happy as well. Not to mention, I just feel like a pathetic tool of a custy whenever paying out the ass for such paltry amounts of goods. Pretty much just like acid to me; buy in bulk so you actually get your money's worth otherwise just feel as though being taken advantage of.
I know several dealers that sell nugs at $10/.4 which is the smallest amount a person could break out into a blunt. Poor and desperate people waste money on that shit aalll day long.

The whole quantity or quality thing really depends on mood. Of course I have a minimum quality - I mean I wouldn't buy complete shit but sometimes is nice to smoke loads of weed that isn't as strong just for the fun of doing it.

For the longest time, I was under the impression that 0.7 grams was the minimal amount needed for an excusable, smokable blunt.

To me this question has to be examined within the context of my current circumstances. Why am I buying this weed? If it's only for me I get as much of the best shit i can. If I am going to a party and plan on sharing a lot of the weed i'd probably get mids. But to be honest for the last year or so I haven't come across any shitty weed. As a matter of fact the last crap bag of weed I got I grew it out and now have dope buds to smoketh. That's the real way to go.

We are practically worlds apart, Hawaii and Texas, and yet we have the same prices for mid-high grade marijuana. Who makes up these prices and why are they so consistent, even between states that are physically phar apart from eachother?
Any other state-representers here buy gram-sacs of mid-to-high grade for $20 per bag?

that's just the average.
of course it all depends on who you know.

Now that I've got a good mids hookup (120oz) I've learned to love blunts. My girl and I rip one every night, and smoke js throughout the day. And of course she cooks every meal in cannabutter =D it just makes it cheaper to live and smoke when you're broke as a joke.
