I dont know if this can be related to this thread but I was just wondering if any one has or if its even possible to somehow feed,inject, or infuse psilocybin extract into your plants to produce a trip when smoked or eaten.

For practical reasons, no...If I had more knowledge of chemistry etc I would give you a definitive answer. My guess is though that no you couldn't do something like this.
I know psilocin/pslocybin is not active when smoked...One of the reasons is the stability of the chemical at those temps.
As for a better explanation I don't have one...Maybe someone else will.

I kind of figued smoking wouldnt work. But theoretically if it were possible, eating the weed should do it i would imagine. It was just a novelty thought  BTW thank you for the reply.

Yea I just don't see how it would be done...Maybe somebody will have a better answer with a reason.
I grow mushrooms as well and is where I started...So, I do know a little about them in that respect.

you're right, it cannot be transferred into the plant as a nutrient, i think is the problem, so hence it can't put it psilo in the buds
but if u take buds and make hash, and make a psilocybin extract, i suppose you could fuse it and either a) eat it or b) see how smoking it works...

what about watering your plants with lsd or somthing would have any affect on the plant?after all you smoke what you put into it. let say during flowering or something you flush the nutes but flush with acid, that way when you harvest the bud will have traces of it in it. but I dont know squat about lsd..just a thought.

LSD is somewhat stable once done, but its quite reactive when exposed to heat, air, and light.

Yeah pretty much even if you did figure out a way to feed the chemicals into your marijuana plant you'd still destroy them with heat when you try to smoke it. I've read about people growing mushrooms with additional trypatimes though so if you're interested in this sort of thing you should probably look into that.
