Ever doubled the chromosomes?

I always see all this talk about doubling the chromosomes of marijuana to get a better plant. I have never heard anyone report success however. So, has anyone done it?
Here is an interesting document on how to extract colchicine from a plant.

That is a fantastic pdf! Thanks for sharing!
Are you sure nobody has induced polyploidy in marijuana plants magash? I was almost positive I read about a couple major breeders doing this maybe 10 years ago. I even vaguely remember an article where soma bashes some breeders for trying such an unnatural process. As I recall the results were sub par for all involved.
This all said, I cannot find the article so I have no proof, if anyone knows any different please chime in.

It isn't that hard to do with other plants at all. I have done it with morning glory, opium lettuce, and phalaris grass. I killed them later by accident except for the phalaris which is doing great!
Glad you like the PDF

Another PDF! It is even better as it shows a step by step picture tutorial on how to double the chromosomes of Phalaris Arundinacea and the results.

Glad your grass is doing good still. I was going to ask you if it was on the other site.

Yep sure is haha but I thought I'd donate this to the growery since I thought they could use it.
They don't seem very interested though - perhaps because of the title.
.. or just because it is dead.

please dont try this. The cannabis plant is a perfect plant already and we dont need it to follow the path of other things into an unnatural world. We already live in these sterile enviroments lets not make this plant which brings so many of us together and closer to mother Earth the same way

I'm a total noob when it comes to MJ, and I know your a noob lol
You do know that we have for hundreds of years been breeding MJ along with many other plants, and animals to be better in our eyes? In fact THC levels have risen in the last few decades. Look it up
Also! this naturally happens in the wild so.. we're not really messing up anything.

It's been done a few times at least. Over at icmag someone posted pictures of polyploid cannabis and they said that it isn't a good idea for indoors because the flower patterns are ruined. I believe you get less yield too.
search over at icmag.
