Perma-nothing. 

Perma-baked would be the closest i'd want to anything other then permanate sobriety, with the option to go un-sober.  For someone who lived Perma-DEX for 3 months... sobriety is golden!  I dont ever want the feeling of not comming down again, its scary shit!

are you good at difference quotient problems? I am stuck on this one, if you have a couple minutes

f(x+h)-f(x)/h  and f(x)=3x-x^2

I am just having a hard time getting to the answer which is 3-2x-h, and if you could actually give me some explanation of how to get through each step

f(x+h)=3(x+h)-(x+h)^2=3x+3h-(x^2+2xh+h^2)=-x^2+3x+3h-2xh-h^2
f(x+h)-f(x)=-x^2+3x+3h-2xh-h^2-(3x-x^2)=3h-2xh-h^2
f(x+h)-f(x)/h=(3h-2xh-h^2)/h=3-2x-h

average rate of change for 3-x^2 from x=-1 to x=3

I tried just evaluating them both at x=-1 and x=3 I dont think that is right

when x=-1 the resulting answer is 2
when x=3 the answer is -6

The answer on the answer key is rate of change of -2

Thanks again, I will try to figure out the rest on my own or save them until another day :tongue:
