I actually turned it off once class started. I think it is extremely rude to be typing away on the interwebz in the 50 minutes a professor has to get this lesson across. I am sure that view will change as the semester goes on or if I was actually using my computer to take notes but I usually just dick around and keep my headphones plugged in
