Depending on your courseload and stress-coping mechanisms.  As someone else said, even pre-med students with 4.0s still get fucked up.  It's a stressful courseload, and some cathartic release through weekend drug use (on nights when you've got all your studying/homework done) can probably be a helpful release.

I certainly wouldn't recommend everyone smoke weed everyday while in college.  On the other hand, I was dealing with some chronic pain that made homework practically unmanageable when sober.  Weed isn't a painkiller, but for me it's like a mental magnifying glass; if I got stoned and got into my homework, the pain took a backseat.  So that was a good thing.

Drugs affect everyone differently.  Know your drug, know your body, and keep your priorities straight is my best advice.
