First off you'll be nervous and unsure. Soon though, your social anxiety will disappear and you'll be drinking large amount of alcohol. You'll meet some girls your really want to fuck, your might get one, but the rest will be really drunk or really stupid and/or ugly and/or fat. If you already have a girlfriend, it's approx 1week to 3 years you'll break up.
By the time you realize your not learning anything, and your rather spend 10 grand a year on weed and books, it'll be too late. You'll end up drinking more and/or smoking more which will drive you further in debt. It's ok, by this time you'll be close to graduation.
When you graduate, you'll probably end up getting a shitty job making mildy more than you do now.
Good thing is, maybe you'll score a hot chick, get drunk as fuck, and get a good job.
Maybe...

Agreed. Also, take advantage of your profs' office hours. I didn't start going to office hours until halfway through my junior year, and then I found out how much I was missing. A lot of profs like to give previews of exam questions.

More than likely. Im supposed to be living at Hassassympa but my friend has a spare room at his apartment so I might just move up with him if everything works out before school starts.

Maybe I'm better at gettin' edjumacated than the average person, but I think it's possible to succeed in college while still enjoying drugs and sex. The key is not to overdo it, and to keep your priorities straight. Grades are more important than chicks; drugs are only good to the extent that they don't negatively impact academic performance.

it's very easy to do good in school, do drugs, and still bang hot chicks.
my tips:
only drink on the weekends. yes people go out every night, but if you have school work that needs to be done, or early class, stay in! the best nights are friday and saturday anyways.
if you can't smoke weed and still be productive, quit smoking, or use it as a reward and smoke after finishing everything you need to do.
don't take 8 am classes, unless you are good about waking up early. i avoid them like the plague. unfortunately one day i do have class at 8 am.
freshman year is the easiest for real. i smoked all the time, experimented with tons of drugs, had lots of sex, and still kept my scholarships.
make school your first priority, then work, then play.

Yeah they are the nicest dorms at the school. Its not looking like I am going to live with my friend, he has a fucked situation. I can survive the dorms for a couple months and maybe we could even get a place at the end of the 1st semester if you are down.

i'm coming down to tempe on the 23rd to celebrate my 21st birthday on mill avenue in royal fashion. gunna nail me some asu slutties 
when i went to asu, i lived in the tower apartments which is on forest above university. it was a great deal. ended up paying 475/mo + internet. sweeeeeet!
but yeah, lots of hoes down at asu, i can't wait to get back and holla at em!

But as advice for going to college goes, I hope you'll admit that 'stay sober' > 'get fucked up'.
Just like, for example, 'use a condom' is better advice than 'bareback that skank'. Less fun, maybe. But better in the long run.

Depending on your courseload and stress-coping mechanisms. As someone else said, even pre-med students with 4.0s still get fucked up. It's a stressful courseload, and some cathartic release through weekend drug use (on nights when you've got all your studying/homework done) can probably be a helpful release.
I certainly wouldn't recommend everyone smoke weed everyday while in college. On the other hand, I was dealing with some chronic pain that made homework practically unmanageable when sober. Weed isn't a painkiller, but for me it's like a mental magnifying glass; if I got stoned and got into my homework, the pain took a backseat. So that was a good thing. 
Drugs affect everyone differently. Know your drug, know your body, and keep your priorities straight is my best advice.

Well said, Sativus. Weed is great to wind down after a good study session or at the end of the week. I don't drink much, so I probably only drank four or five times my whole first year, but smoked weekly. I got a 3.25 which isn't great for me (my HS gpa was 3.89), but my second semester was a 3.5... it just takes a while to adjust to teaching yourself a lot of the material.

i have yet to make it out to austin, but i had a lot of guests over from there this summer and they all seemed dandy. i might be going there real soon.

wrong. at least not for everyone.
college is supposed to be the best years of your life. enjoy yourself so you don't look back at it when you're old and regret that you didn't.
i'm going to grad school myself so i can stay at college longer. 
but what you're saying is, success > fun. might be true for some, but i'm just here to enjoy life. success and money comes 2nd, but they will come.
