That happened the first time I smoked Salvia (breakthrough city)... it's the only time that telling myself "it's just a drug, it will pass in time" didn't work. I was stuck a couple frames behind reality, and I kept slipping further back... very bizarre experience.

Salvia = not enjoyable to me at all. I can sort of see why that kid killed himself, it's heavy stuff. But he was a little messed up to begin with I'm sure. But the salvia dimension is so lonely, scary, cold, and bizarre. It just evokes negative feelings ime, it's terryifying. It makes you think wierd things, makes you so confused.

Yea true. I could see how one could possibly kill himself. But its impossible to do so while on it. I could barley move

I think that the real problem with salvia is we have no cultural context for its use. It's a very heavy experience, and really needs to be treated with respect. Regardless of how you feel about talk of plant spirits, it can't be denied that casual attitudes, even unintentionally casual attitudes, recieve a psychological smackdown.
I think if one were to develop a ritual context for the use of salvia, this could probably lead to a lot more productive experiences.
It's kind of like the difference between a brujo taking datura to engage in magical battles with enemy brujos, versus a confused german kid taking it and cutting his dick off.
