I've been growing outdoors for years, and my old hand-me-down seeds have finally reached the zero germination rate. So now I'm looking for a new strain. It needs to be a potent sativa, and it needs to be resistant to pests and fungi. Any suggestions?
I also need to find a reputable and discrete seed vendor.
Or I guess a better question is, what general location or climate are you growing in? Pure sativas have incredibly long flowering periods, so if you're in a more temperate climate that has a first frost date in the late-September/early-October range, you may want to try something like a sativa-dominant hybrid, or even a 50/50 hybrid (that is 50% sativa, 50% indica).
If that's not an issue, then I'd recommend Durban Poison. Its a pure (or nearly pure, its hard to find true landrace genetics these days) sativa, consistently rated above 20% THC, is very disease-resistant, and can get huge (10 feet tall, up to 1lb+ flower per plant). Durban poison is consistently ranked as one of the best outdoor beginners plants for its forgiving, disease resistant nature.
Here's a map of first frost dates:
Hope this helps!
