I get mad early frosts here, like, as early as October sometimes. It has been REALLY cooling down as of lately, and I think we might get some really chilly October nights this year.
I have an outdoor plant I've been topping and topping and topping, and shes pretty bushed out now. I stopped topping a few weeks ago and we got a ton of rain. It looks to me like shes just starting to bud up now. Does that sound right?
I counted weeks, and I have about 10 weeks until Halloween, which would be perfect for this particular strain. But, I really need it to start budding ASAP.
I know its not exactly 12/12 here, but it gets "dim" early...latitude = 43 or so. When will she switch over to flower? Shes in the ground, so theres not much I can do.
First you say she's starting to bud up Then you ask when will she bud up. so with that
Strain? Outdoors Indicas start way before 12/12 Pure sativas start closer, but still before, 12/12 That is, around here, anyway. Outdoor cannabis pays no attention to weeks of flowering time. They will finish when they finish. Again that is different for different strains. Some in October some in November. (Around here)
Was it from seed or clone? If you are not way too far north it will flower and finish in time probably.

Probably
This is absolutely not true. The genetics of the strain determine how many weeks it takes for it to finish flowering. Sativas take longer, Indicas take less.
-------------------- Dude she isn't as young as she use to be.
Indicas will finish sooner, but a certain strain will always finish at the same time. My GDP always comes in at Sept 20 give or take no matter what day she starts.
Sativas will take longer, but will still finish when its time.
What I said was the number of days per say has nothing to do with it out doors. Because the same strains will start and finish at different times at different latitudes.
A strain that says ten weeks flowering time may come in in 8 weeks outdoors at the right location.
A huge outdoor plant of the same strain may take longer. What is the temperature at harvest time in your locale? If it's still 90 degrees it will affect the time to ripening. If it's 55 degrees it will be different.
