Hey guys, long time. Most of you probably have no clue who I am but I was quite active 5 years ago and had a ton of success growing in red solo cups in my big walk-in closet. Gave it up because of lack of time and paranoia, but I'm about to get back in the game because medicinal is legal in my state now and I just received my cultivation license. Can't believe I can actually do this now without having to worry!
I still have all of my supplies in storage, even a ton of nutes which I'm sure I'll have to dump. How much have LED's advanced over the last 5 years? Last time I grew there were cheap ones on Amazon back then but the quality was lacking. For a good LED back then you had to spend $500+. Are the more affordable ones better quality these days? I still have all of my hps/ballasts but I dont want to have to deal with the heat from those things this time, I'm going all LED or bust.

Hey, I remember you. 
Welcome back, and congrats on the new license! You're living the dream.
I used to be really into LED technology more than a decade ago, so I can't really help you out with recent developments. Phychotron over in the cultivation forum grows almost exclusively with LEDs, and he probably could help you out a little.
