 I just bought a nectar collector today

Hi,
I just bought a nectar collector today, it looks kind of like a straight test tube or big pencil rather, made entirely of quartz.
I was just wondering what is the best way to use shatter with this device?
I've never used a nectar collector so I don't know how to use one.
But if this works out as well as I think it will, then no more flower for me, just vaping pure shatter from the nectar collector.

Heat the tip with a torch and suck it up like a straw from a borosilicate glass container. Nectar collectors are best suited for distillates, regular dabs can be harsh and clog them up.

Can I use it right out of my silicone container as well?
Does it have to be borosilicate glass?
The person who sold it to me said that I could use it right from my silicone container which I use to store the shatter.
I'm also worried that I might accidentally suck up burning shatter and swallow it, that wouldn't happen would it?
I've used shatter before, but only in joints mixed with flower.

2 Odds are your nectar collector is made from borosilicate glass.
3 Again Yes
4 Like using a bong don't suck too hard otherwise you get a mouthfull of bong juice, but the shatter should stick to the glass.
Check out you tube there are vidoes that will show you how to use a nectar collector. Good luck.

But the guy who sold me the nectar collector said that it was made of quartz and not glass.
It is very nice.
And he also said I could use a micro-torch lighter with the hot blue flame to heat up the tip of the nectar collector until it is hot enough to vaporize the shatter.
Do you know how long to keep the flame of the micro torch lighter on the tip of the nectar collector until it is hot enough to use?

I use to use a mini jet lighter to heat my NC quartz tip for 30-45 seconds. Seems to heat it up just fine.
The way it's designed there's no way the hash oil will go into your mouth. No matter how hard you are inhaling.
