Can I use a mix of Coir and Perlite only if I plan on using liquid nutrients? Or will this cause some kind of problem that I'm unaware of?

I've used coco and perlite works well with hydro nutes dry or liquid. Now I only use perlite, hempy buckets.

So I should be able to use Fox Farms liquid nutes? Doesn't have to be hydro right? Sorry, the way you worded that kind of confused me.

I've heard/read in the past of people having succes with fox farrms soil nutes in soilless mixes and hydro. I personally would use the hydro line up.

A few questions if you don't mind: 1. Have you used perlite and coco in your buckets before? 2. Do you use a TDS meter or do you just increase the nutes incrementally? 3. What brand Hydro nutes are you using. Thanks for taking the time.

Yes I have, it did well. Personally I found coco to be a huge mess, so I went straight perlite.

To be honest I haven't used my meter in about a year now. I prefer EC to PPms, and start at about 0.2 and move up to around 0.6 by the end of the plant's life. Roughly 100 to 140 ppm on young plant, to as high as 300 to 420 ppm on maturing plants.

General Hydroponics Flora Series, with liquid and dry Koolbloom.

Sounds good, you could add vermiculite and some organic matter like castings or compost though, then you really have yourself a mix!
