Does chicken taste good?

So I'm pretty baked and thinking about chicken. Most of classic favorite chicken dishes (fried, bbq, wings) are heavily spiced or sauced.

Most kinds of chicken I can think of rely on some enhancements - lemon pepper, rosemary, breading, etc. The only other type of chicken meals I can think of are in a broth (soup) or gravy (chicken and biscuits).

A steak you can just put on the grill and let the fire do it's thing (not that a simple rub down doesn't enhance it) but try to grill plain un-brined chicken and you get a dry neutral mess.

Most other meats benefit from seasonings. Chicken needs it.

Fuck yeah. At my friends old pad they didn't have a BBQ and would cook their chicken over a wood fire pit. Tasted incredible. I'm sure the wood has a lot to do with it.

Hmm maybe that's an idea then. I've done chicken in the smoker but I always brined it and did a spice rub first.
