Setup
I plan to use a grow tent setup as found here http://www.growlights.ca/growtent-systems/grow-tent-complete-systems/starter-grow-tent-systems/5-x-5-1000-watt-starter-grow-tent-kit.html
Potting/Medium
Plan on using 5 gallon pails with holes drilled in the bottom for drainage. I'll be using Coco Coir with 30% perlite ( 2 650g bricks hydrated + 8 quarts of perlite mixed real well).
Nutrients
Will be using general hydroponics flora series with calimagic.
Was wondering how many plants I should grow in the tent and how long should I veg them before flowering?

If they have a kit with a different reflector, I would highly recommend it. Those wing reflectors are awful.
How many plants and how long to veg, is all dependent on the style you want to grow the plants. More plants = less veg time, less plants = more veg time.

 I highly recommend getting a cool tube reflector. They're the difference between my tent being 90+ or a nice 75.

generally speaking not knowing many details..
when I did 5gal buckets under a 1000w I could fit 6 easy, veg until your plant is 12" them flower cus its going to get 2-3X bigger in flower. that would give you 3' plants like this
thats in a 6.5'x6.5'x6.5' tent under a 1000w
if you want bigger veg longer. more root = more fruit
good luck, oh and dont use wing refletors with 1000w, you will heat up your area too much for sure. you want a cooltube or inline of some sort for sure. 1000w is Fn hot.

yeah the only problem i see is cooling with a winged reflector. as other suggested id get a cooltube. otherwise thats a decent setup. lol even comes with tape!
