ok so I'm about to upgrade here as soon as this next rounds done. current setup is 2 1000w hps over 8 plants of decent size. not monsters but not sog size either. running on a hydro setup.
what I'm trying to upgrade to. 2 flower rooms with either just 4 1000w hps or the 4 with an extra 600 in the middle of the two 1000s on either side. either way I'm using a flip box between the two rooms, so i either need to get a 4 ballast box or a 6 ballast box. staying with the hydro setup. 24 plants per room. adequate ventilation for fresh air and heat removal. lights are hooded with exhaust fans attached. will get an a/c unit if need be. veg room is in-between the flower rooms with 3 4' t5's. trying to go a more SOG route but wanting to let them veg a little longer to get a little more out of them.
just looking for some opinions is all. constructive criticism encouraged!!!
Sounds like a solid plan. What's holding you back specifically? If you are needing to make rooms within a room, come up with a (permanent or non-permanent) frame to attach Orca Film to.
What do your temps look like now with your current setup? Depending on the temps, you will need a portable AC unit in the flowering rooms running 4 1k watt lights. I ran 2 1k watt lights in my last flowering room and I had a window unit that was setup on a timer to keep my temps perfect around 70-78 during the summer months but during the winter I never had to run it lol. Other than that, it sounds like a decent setup. We would love to see some pics!
