Everytime i make eggs i see like little tiny dots of the black stuff from the pans.. n it bugs me out. Im starting to avoid pans... why the hell would they coat the pan with this black shit. It looks so unhealthy
Anyone knownwhat it is and how toxic it is?

Usually teflon. You arent supposed to use metal utensils on those kinds of pans because they scratch so easily. I don't think a little bit will hurt you, but probably isn't something you want in your body either.

Ya i used a cast iron for a long time. I still got mine.
I only switched to ceramic because its way easier to clean, and does not weight 10lbs. The downside is ceramic frying pans are pricey

Ive read that you just oil them and do not clean with water or soap. That to clean you just put heat to max and let it heat sterilize.
they are heavy as fuck. My mom has a flat one i use for tortillas and such but those deep ones with grills for meat look badass.

If you cook with oil anyway, as you should in a frying pan all you have to do is wipe it out with a paper towel after use.
Washing will ruin the season and eventually food will stick and the pan may rust

I love using my lodge with the ridges, other than eggs although last night I even did that. With enough bacon grease, nothing will stick.
