OCEAN MAN! Whats up dude.... easiest, quickest way to grow? hmm... rich & nutritious soil and bright light is my recommendation
If you can grow a mushroom you can grow a plant. With growing, often, simpler is better and my opinion is that the main 2 mistakes I see new folks make are overwatering and overfertilizing. for starters...

I like simplifying and automating as much as I can. That's why I chose to go with coco, drain to waste, non-recirculating hydroponics so there is no tank maintenance but all the benefits of growing hydroponically. The coco coir is reusable about 5 times so you don't have to haul a bunch of soil all the time. Basically I've cut out as much work as possible.
Nutrients are cheap if you know what to spend the money on and what is overpriced. Its taken me awhile but I've got a good nutrient lineup and close to rock bottom, at seven cents per gram in nutrient cost. I started with Advanced nutrients, they pissed me off, so I tried Canna and loved it. Eventually I started replacing the more expensive elements and added a few things here and there but still use the Canna Coco A/B base nutrients because it holds up the best sitting in the nutrient tank.

A small tip. Dont fall for all in one deals on grow gear. Grow boxes and shit are all right, but if cash is your thing and you want the most bang for your buck, research your shit and shop around. I was pricing an all in one deal at about 1200 bucks, did a bit more digging and figured out I could buy all the shit seperately, online, with free shipping, and only dropped around 8 or 9 bills.
My experiance with grow shops, is they are there to make money, not friends or connects. Do your own research and have the knowledge to know when your getting ripped off.
