cant get an hid light for another 2 weeks think itll last? i think i can rig up a hydro kit what do you think?

Cover the top of that rock-wool with foil. You don't need to wrap it just lay it on top and the algae will stop growing or it's gonna get nasty.

Shouldn't you raise your plant closer to the light? That seems a little far away to me, but don't take my word.

Isn't hydro soiless? I always thought hydroponic was growing in a soiless medium.

hydro/aero ponics is water and air and nutrients maybe some hydroton to stabilize the plant in the netpots.
soilless is a coco coir, vermiculite and perlite sometimes peat moss mix, looks like dirt but no theres dirt involved, spongy for water retention and stays aerated with good drainage.

At this point with one plant in rockwool, consider doing a hydroponic approach with either more rockwool, or expanded clay pellets aka Hydroton. I think going to coco might be a mistake because the rockwool will get soaked and that won't be good in the coco which really retains water. My 2 cents anyway.

just wanted to update on what this plant is going through. i made a mistake real high one night watching a youtube video and i cut the stem? see pic. i also put her in a 70/30 perlite coir mix in some bag i found. i also just got a second light on her yesterday and shes loving it. she started to show hairs?! i switched my red light to a blue light and the hairs died down a little so i know she likes the light? i also started on some nutes i am using soul synthetic's players pack and i am following the feeding schedule. no luck on a pump yet manually feeding it i also i desperately need a suitable light /"

dam what youtube vid were you watching that told you to do that?
Why are you switching your light all around? Red spectrom for flower. Blue for vegging. You probly burnt the hairs messing with the light.

so im guessing you cut the middle stem right? well as long the next lower tier of branches are growing you will be fine.. instead of just having one main stem growing up in the middle you will have a few main stems wich in turn will cause you to get a couple big main stems wich will give you some bigger bud sites...
ill train mine were ill have anywere from 12- 20 tops, but one thing make sure you give your plant a min of 2 weeks to recover from cutting branches to allow the plant to recover from stress before you put into flower. and also you want to give the plant time to grow all those new top branches.

flowering happens when you give the plant 12 hours of light then 12 hours of dark.
Just keep it under 16 or more hours! But some strains might flower on that so I always run 24/7 or 18/6.
