 My son has hyper IGE levels

A couple years ago he was bit on his forehead and his face swelled up so bad that his eyes were forced shut for a few days. He could not open them if he tried.
The docs said they will have to run tests if it happens again.
A year after that he was bit on his hand and it swelled to the point of looking like it was going to burst. Scary shit...
Of course we take him in and they run tests. They run a bunch of blood test and find that his IGE levels are extremely high. The doc then says they will have to run another test to make sure its not blood cancer.
That was the longest wait of my life...
No cancer, but we had to go back twice a year to run tests. That was 2 years ago. A couple months ago we went in, ran the tests, and spoke with the doc a bit.
Again, nothing. We also don't have to go twice a year. We now only have to go once a year.
Great news, right? Well, no. The docs are obviously expecting/ looking for something. They also call him their little mystery man.
Apparently people with levels like that have crazy symptoms like skin lesions and shit along those lines. More scary stuff.
He shows no signs, at all, which blow the docs minds. They can't understand why there are no signs other than the swelling from mosquito bites.
Anyway, I'm bringing it up because my chick was reading online and she said she couldn't find a single case like ours and that everyone eventually show serious symptoms. Scoliosis is a huge possibility too.
Shit sucks... He's such a bright, cute little kid that could do so much.

but unless he asked to have it moved that was kinda inappropriate. Sometimes people post personal shit in the dome because we have kind of a tighter knit group there, and we don't want everyone on the site to be able to see.

normally i would say something or explain exactly why i did something, but in this case, i actually wanted it in TSL. once i was even thinking about asking a mod to move it.
mag didnt ask if it was okay, but since this is the outcome i wanted, i left it alone.

yeah, i hope his case is a rare case to where he has the levels, but it doesnt effect him. it seems that way now, so lets hope it stays that way.
he reminds me of mr burns. how he has just about every aliment known to man, but it all balances out to where nothing effects him...

Hope your kid gets better dude.... My family members have been through shitty medical shit all their life too and it sucks just having to watch the doctors keep on failing. But keep your head up, things will eventually get better.
