Help Can't get high of edibles, no matter how strong, not tolerance related

Hello, I have this problem where I can't get high of edibles no matter how much I eat. I have read that people with very high metabolism have a very hard time getting off on edibles for some reason. My question is what can I do to counter this? i have tried eating a bunch of white bread and obscene amounts of sugar before ingesting the cannabis witch I was then able to catch the smallest hint of it. Does anybody have this problem and how do you counter act it?

-eat more than a gram

-use coconut oil


-use premo weed

I have eaten a 20 gram cookie before, I have eaten 4, 5 gram cookies before, I have eaten a ½ cup of super green cannabutter. All made with prime buds. I will not thank you just yet sir -.-

Then maybe you just can't get high eating it.  Just pack a bowl and don't worry about it.
