 Potency of edibles

My neighbor gave me a pot sucker and was wondering if it is possible to tell how strong it is before I consume it all. I water wash all of my butter at least twice so I know taste isn't a good guage. Advice please..
Trying to get post count up but I do feel this question is valid/original.

Only way is if you send a piece to a lab to have it tested.

Was it homemade or store bought? Either check the wrapper or ask thy neighbor. Better yet, just eat it and gauge from there.

Yeah, I think ill just have to eat it. the last time I did "edibles" I capsuled up about 3 grams of ABV (post vaped green) I was wrecked and it wasn't that enjoyable. I had troubles moving and slept most of the time.

i once made banana bread and did not do the dosage math....I ate 3 slices of this cannabis banana bread (turns out i at 5gms of weed worth)... worst "high" of my life....i was sweating and shaking sooo bad. SOOOOO paranoid too. Like the worst anxiety x 1000000
my phone rang at 3:30 am and i answered and i swear someone said to another guy "hes home now, lets go fuck him up"
The next morning my wife found me passed out sitting in a chair, with a samurai sword in my hand.

everyone seems so scared of cannabis in food. what happened to cannabis is non toxic cannot overdose. why are you getting scared? its non narcotic. which is it? if cannabis safe or NOT?
