Dude I walked into a smoke shop today and of course there prominently on display was a digital volcano for $650. I had just enough in my savings account to buy one but I can't justify going broke and hungry for the next couple of weeks, especially when I have a perfectly good vaporizer sitting in my house. Besides it would've been stupid to buy it because then I'd have no money for pot. Damnit though... I suddenly want one really bad. Guess I best get to saving.
And to anyone who asked if it's worth it to buy a vaporizer. If you regularly smoke marijuana there is absolutely no reason not to get one, at least one of the wooden box cheaper ones. It literally enhanced and makes pot so so much better. In my opinion. Although just about everyone who's hit a working vaporizer or who owns one will say the same thing.

I like this experiment, and it has convinced me to get a Vap.
The volcano is waaaay too expensive for me, I'll get a
Vapor Brothers when I have the moneys.

so it's a bit under half the cost of a volcano.
I'm sure it's top notch either way. Prehaps on my birthday I'll buy myself a RooR or a Volcano + Vapor Dome.

Hey kids, just a friendly reminder and suggestion to clean your vaporizers regularly. My vaporizer tonight started to act funny and actually started to burn the pot like a normal bong and gave off a really nasty taste and unpleasant experience. Except for changing the screen, I really haven't attempt to clean the vaporizer in the over two months since I've had it. A dark brown, liquidy resin that is a bitch to clean has formed all over the bulb piece and in the tube.
I'd highly recommend everyone clean their vaporizers at least once a week to keep good hits a flowing. My recommendation for the people with wooden box vaporizers is to clean you glass piece by getting a ziplock bag and pouring rubbing alcohol and a good amount of table salt into the bag. Take the hose out of the glass piece and put the glass piece into the ziplock bag with the rubbing alcohol and salt. Shake bag well for about five minutes. Then take glass piece out of bag and run under warm water. It works really well.
Also, I saw a knock off the Volcano today in a smoke shop that was around $300. I'm considering getting the knock off Volcano in the near future.

This is a pretty noob question, but considering the purpose of vaporizers is to give the user only thc and as little other chemicals as possible, will smoking mids give one the same high as smoking nugs or headies, or are the certain types of high still distinctive?

actually the purpose of a vaporizer to to vaporize active chemicals; thc, cbd ect; without combustion. The ratio of the active cannabinoids remains unchanged.
most users say the vaporizer high is different from smoking but still note differences in strains.

So as not to start a new thread...
As some of you may know I broke my vaporizer yesterday by smoking it in my car and the power adapter sent a surge that fried the electronics. 
But it's cool because I just bought a new vaporizer today. I'm just disappointed that for the foreseeable future I'm not going to be able to smoke in my car because seriously hitting that vaporizer while driving on the freeway yesterday was divine. But that's alright, gotta sacrifice a little bit of joy in some places to get it in others.
It is also unbelievable how much vaporizers fuck you up. Yesterday I kid you not, for the first time in almost two months I smoked blunts and joints. I smoked about ten joints and a couple of blunts and I was high but not ripped like I've been in the past. And seriously for about a 1/10th of the pot I could've gotten way way higher on a vaporizer.

Well yesterday while driving around before I fried my vap, I was smoking for over a 40 minutes with about a gram in the vaporizer. I honestly think I smoke about half as much as I normally would.
