I don't like sushi, so i voted pizza. I love pizza though, so i would have likely voted for it even if i did like sushi.

I agree that the best pizza does normally come from a family pizzeria, but in my opinion not necessarily from an Italian one. As long as the people have a passion about pizza and know what they're doing then, they will likely make a delicious pizza.
I live in Australia and our Pizza variety is seriously lacking compared to the impression i have of Ameriaca's variety. We are absolutely dominated by American styled franchises. Even the independent businesses make American style. Occasionally one can find a specialized Italian style place; perhaps a New York style place in popular tourist location like the Gold Coast, but i've never seen any other styles, such as Chicago.
Our Pizza places are so overwhelmed by American style, that many people aren't even aware that there is other 'styles'. I tried talking about it once with a worker at a pizza joint and he had no idea and replied;
"Oh we have lots of different styles. We've got Hawaiian, Supreme, Meat lovers..'
I wasn't impressed, and the pizza was rubbish too.

sushi does not = raw fish! 
i like chicken/beef teriyaki rolls, or avocado rolls, tempura rolls, green dragon rolls, fried fish rolls. there is tons of TASTY alternatives to raw fish.

Your right "sushi" means sour rice-
also what you are calling sushi is not sushi ...
Im in New york and i have better pizza then all of you.The best pizza does not have to come from an Italian but it certainly needs Italian influence. no fuckin cheddar/American cheese or sugar sweet sauce.

If any of you guys are near Disneyland one day check out Marri's pizza.
Best pizza in Anaheim.
They bake there pizzas with olive oil and the toppings are in the middle instead of on top. Fucking bomb.
