From an online article I just googled weed wars is being sued by a producer that developed the show originally for discovery channel and then she got edged out the deal and they moved on without her renaming the show Weed Wars, the original show was called Greener Pastures.
This sucks I love Weed Wars I was just talking to a budtender yesterday about how funny it was...... the budtender said the show was bullshit maybe he's was jealous.

I'm not really sure, just figured that's why...... might have been wrong about snoop being one of the producers too. I know he did the title track but I thought I saw a producer credit too.

I just watched these episodes on Netflix and these guys are total assholes. They only want medical legal so they can keep making fat stacks at their bullshit club. He literally said "I don't smoke to get 'high'" but throughout the entire show they just act like a bunch of stoners. "Oh I can't figure out what tie to wear I better smoke a bowl..."  How the fuck is smoking before your wardrobe selection medicinal?
Honestly I think they embarrassed themselves and did way more damage than good to the reputation of cannabis.

After reading this thread I decided to watch the show on Netflix,
I wouldn't nessacaraly say it was "a piece of shit" but it was rather silly.
Granted I have only watched the first episode of it.
And as far as why that Steve guy didn't support recreational use I'm sure is just simpally a PR move.
He would be eaten alive saying that being the owner of the largest megial store in the world.

Most people in the mj game for profit won't support recreational use. Simply because they know it will bring prices down, cutting profit margins.

But theses guys aren't in it for profit supposedly.
According to this show in California medical shops have to be 100% nonprofit.
They made something like 21 million but are having trouble with coming up with 1 million for texes.
Also most of the medical stores around where I live (Colorado) plan on opening up addions to their current stores once the recreational laws go into place to serve those customers too.
They just need to have separate doors and bud bars fornthe different types of customrrs,
the recreational customers will also be paying more due to taxes medical customers will not be experiencing.
