Any advantages using a enclosed reflector?
    #687491 -

So I am looking to get another grow light and noticed the wing ones are cheaper then the enclosed ones. Is there any particular reason why?

What do you mean enclosed?  Aircooled?

Sorta like aircooled except it isn't.

Also the one i am looking at(not the one pictured) doesn't have a glass cover.

Well that has a ballast as well.  they give off a better reflection pattern as well.

A lot of those reflectors have the option of being air cooled too. Its usually a 4 hole vent on the top that you can put a small fan and duct on.

If it doesnt have a glass lens i wouldnt bother air cooling it because it wont be as efficient as with the lens. Nor are they as good as regular in line ducted reflectors.

And yeah the light pattern is better and you have more options. Some are for broad coverage and others are for more narrow but more intense coverage.
