I don't know anything about the bulbs or their use, but it seems that the shorter distance you gain between the lamp and the reflector compared to having the reflector a little ways out and around the bulb itself is not that considerable, and the cost of having them put a reflector inside the bulb just isn't worth what you gain. Like I said though, no experience and haven't read about them at all, but that's my uninformed take.

I wouldn't get them personally. I've heard they cause really bad hot spots from my grow supply guy.
I think the shittest reflector would be much better than that.
