I'm not sure of the watts and crap but I used 2 profile 5500 air pumps each one had two buckets hooked up to them. I was using the large size tidy cat brand cat litter buckets. The yellow ones and they had way more then enough air for that size bucket.(I'm guessing 4 gallons). I put a 6 inch air-stone in each bucket.
This is the exact pump I used
-------------------- All creatures tremble when faced with violence. All creatures fear death, all love life. If we can only see ourselves in others, then how could we possibly hurt another creature?
I tried to find that pump, but I think it's discontinued. I found out that it was a 55-gallon pump though, so that gives me something to go on. I've looked at a lot of videos and pictures, and most people's dwc water is bubbling, but fairly gently. Is there any harm or benefit in shooting for a more turbulent and almost frothy water surface, or does it not make much difference past a certain point?
Also, with the design I put up in the op, am I pushing it to have 12 plants in 2" net pots? They have 9" depth for root space, and overall about 6 or 7 gallons of water. Maybe drop it to 9 plants in 3" pots?
Keep in mind it's meant strictly for flowering clones as soon as they're rooted.
