I thought of a hypothetical product I'll call the CloudMaker.
Basically what this does is vary the currant to you lights randomly so that they occasionally dim. This will give the appearance of activity and lights being switched on and off. Instead of a steady load starting at a set time every night this will make it more difficult to track in areas where electric load is being monitored. Nothing to signifigantly affect growth. But just enough to make it look like some device has been switched on or off every 20-60 minutes.
if you market towards the seriously paranoid you might make some cash. Otherwise it's a pointless idea because the amount of power an HID light drains is pretty minuscule.
