Hey guys, just made an account here and I wanted to say hi, and that I'm looking forward to posting here. Been reading threads here for a little and you guys seem pretty damn cool.
Bit about myself- I'm in college, was going for a secondary education degree for teaching high school English, but I've gotten less and less sure about that path over the last couple years. I'm thinking of switching to an anthro or psych major. Linguistics is awesome too. Also I'm a server at a restaurant.
Business aside, I've been playing guitar since middle school, and most of my free time that isn't spent wiki-surfing is spent messing around with music. I bought a loop station a few months ago and I've been pretty obsessed with it ever since.
Also discovered the wonderful world of underground hip-hop about a year ago, which made me reevaluate my close-minded stance on rap. Wish someone had told me there was intelligent, highly lyrically creative rap, that bears no resemblance to what you hear on the radio a long time ago. Been trying my hand at free styling lately, and I can't say whether I'm getting better, but it's pretty fun.
Other than that, I like backpacking, disc golfing, and planning my next trip to get away from the boring Ohio scenery. Ah, and of course, as if it doesn't go without saying.

Ah cool. Nearly my whole rap collection is from northeast artists/rhymesayers relatives. Like Immortal Technique, Eyedea, Jedi Mind Tricks, Illogic, Sector 7g, Kristoff Krane, P.O.S., Guante, No Bird Sing, I could probably go on for a while. What aboutz youz?

I like most of the G's on stones throw records. No always the deepest lyrics, but definitely dope beats and good flows.

we were talking about Eyedea from Eydea & Abilities, who died Oct. 17, 2010.
they where friends and both on Minnesota based Rhymesayers Entertainment record label (i think Slug was one of the founders of rhymesayers.)
