so i just started smoking again, and i freaking love it. a lot of people told me i may not like it since it's been so long. a lot of people who graduated the program i was in say they smoked, and used to love it, but after drug court they hated it.
so i didnt know what to expect. i thought id just take it slow and see how i felt. well i'll tell you how i felt. i fucking loved it. instantly started smoking it everywhere, in public, at school, no anxiety what so ever - its been amazing.
however ill tell you what makes me 10x more paranoid then it used to - driving to go pick it up. i have no anxiety with anything about weed, except for the ride to go pick it up. i get so panicked and scared, so i dont buy more then i can eat... but then im picking up 2 and 3 times a week as opposed as to if i picked up a lot once a month.
im gonna go look at portable vapes and try to find a hook up on wax so i can just mix that with e cig juice so it looks all legit. either that or try to find someone to start mailing it to me. i know it seems crazy but id feel better about getting 1/4lb shipped to me then picking up locally.
anyway do you guys get paranoid picking up or what?
i realize you guys in medical states are like lulz, but this is a real problem for some of us!

Your paranoia is what's going to get you busted. Using the mail to buy a 1/4 lb is stupid and dangerous. That may be hard to defend as personal use and may result in police with a warrant. Plus, your weed will get old before you finish smoking it. Buy a 1/4 or even a 1/2 oz. Put it in a backpack, zip it up, put it your trunk. Relax. Be sober and there's not going to be any probable cause for a search even on the extremely odd chance that you do get pulled over.

Man i'm so paranoid about carrying herb around with me (especially in people's cars). Funny cause back when i did coke a lot i did bumps at red lights and didn't give a fuck. These days, even a mutual friend of our's can verify that the stash (if small) always goes inside the toe of my shoe before the car even starts. But i'll still join in for a bowl or other rolled tokes on the occassional long drive.

not sure how well these laws are enforced where you are, but its a pretty inconsequential charge anywhere iv been. and of course dont grow more than you need and youll never be looking at distro charges.

OP, if you're that paranoid about it, and I can understand if you have to drive to someone's house that the fuzz may be on to (because they do start filming the premises) then get a friend to pick up an oz for you and toss him a couple nice nugs for his trouble.

This would be my concern. You're repeating the part of the process that you consider to be the highest risk an inordinate number of times. You could easily make a trip once every week or two weeks and decrease the risk. From a straight mathematical perspective, you are INCREASING THE PROBABILITY that you will be seen/noticed/busted.

Can you bike there? Seems like it would be safer and much more inconspicuous.
Also, when you experience this, challenge you're beliefs and yours thoughts, and the feelings they cause. Remind yourself that picking up low amounts at high frequencies is a better way to get caught than picking up larger amounts at lower frequencies - statistically, it just makes sense. There's no point in worrying either, it won't change your probability of being caught. Every time, it's the same gamble.
What matters is how many times you roll the dice. Because in the long run, the house always wins. ;-)
So gamble smart, and not often.

I live a medicate state, so I'll take the lulz option, but I am super happy for you being able to smoke again. Is the high so much better than when you had a big tolerance?

Serious bro, people who are careful are people who stay out of trouble. There's nothing wrong with a bit of paranoia.
That said, I used to get the same way. I found a man who delivers pizza and weed. I'm willing to bet you could find someone to bring it to you. Especially if you're looking for a larger once a month amount.

Yesterday I had a guy deliver 3/4oz of sativa dominant goodies. He parked on the street next to my house. It was when school was getting out, we live right across the street from an elementary school, so there were kids, parents and cars everywhere.
I got in the car and tucked the large plastic bag under my coat and walked back to my door holding my belly.  
Medical state though so not as much risk.

School zones have harsher penalties if you get caught with stuff, i always assumed.
