Hydro/Areo without chiller

Which hydro/aero-ponics set up is the least likely to need a chiller as well as most likely? My guess is a NFT with an air lift pump. But realistically I dunno. Are there some tricks and tips that can be applied to the whole in regards to running a system that isn't dependent on a chiller?

The key to not needing a chiller is to have a huge reservoir. The more water you have the longer it takes for the temperature to rise.

So for a 6 bucket DWC system I like to have at least a 50 gallon reservoir.
