I'm just getting paranoid about my landlord and need some reassurance.
I'm currently using a 150W HPS that is running 12 hours a day.
Equals 1.8 kWh per day. Is that much?
In a month that would make 54 kWh only for the weeze.
If you were a landlord, how much electricity use would you tolerate before you'd catch a suspicion?

150w is not that much. Around here 1 kwh is 7 cents for the first 600, 8 cents 600+ kwh. So about fifteen cents a day

in my experience landlords don't bother you unless you give them a reason to. follow the basic rules of indoor growing such as paying all your bills on time, keeping the outside of your apartment/condo/home clean and free of things that'll attract attention. blend in and be that upstanding tenant. At my old place it was my landlords job to monitor the electricity. so i was a little extra worried about that. however, i still managed to run two 400 watts 12 hours a day for months at a time without any problems. my biggest problem was controlling the smell of the plants. 150 watts isn't much at all. hell doesn't an xbox run like 300 watts or something crazy like that.

Wow... my 1k's cost me about. $40 each per month, and. That includes fans and AC...
In comparison though, my ex-roommate's huge ass flat-screen plasma TV uses well over 1000 watts, and MANY people (including him) leave their television sets on 24/7 (fucking idiots, if you ask me!). So just having 150 watts on for 12 a day? That's less than what 3 regular incandecent bulbs would use...
