Your PSU is probably rated at 650W, but is your computer really putting out that much? I doubt it.

isent there a switch for some powersupply's that goes from 110 to 220? if so would that have a difference?

That's voltage. Not wattage... so... if you have a 120 V plug which most people in the Americas do, I wouldn't touch it.
