Will that work right out of the box? As in, assemble, hang, plug in, works?
My closet is 3 feet deep, 5 feet wide...would 550w of HPS light be enough for the whole closet? Right now, I can only use about a quarter of the closet and I'd really like to use the whole area!

idk about how good the ballast is... but thats a pretty decent deal. I have a Similar light but it's HTGSupply. 550? you have a 150 hps i'm guessing.... that would make that whole closet operable, I'm not doing any numbers but thats right about where you should be for that much space. they do get pretty warm though. you have enough air exchange to compensate for heat?
if it comes with both bulbs then thats a hell of a deal.

It does come with both bulbs 
And yeah, I have a 150 right now.
I'd have to figure something out for the heat. This isn't something I'll be able to do during the winter anyway I think. I could keep the ballast outside of my closet, that would help a little bit.

I was looking at getting this for the 4x4 box I'm building for a friend...

It looks like a pretty good deal, but I've never ordered online before, so I'm not sure if they have a good reputation or not...

i think that 400 watt is a good deal but considering the heat issue i really think that 600 watt air cooled light that tank333 posted is the better buy .more power ,and not having to deal with heat for a $100 more = more herb , and less problems !

If you're gonna go the cheap route, just buy from HTG, their prices are within a few bucks of those non-name brand units that I bet have the crappy support. HTG ballast's now carry a 5 year warranty, and the support is GREAT. Last time I ordered they were supposed to send me a RF shielded socket/cordset and they didn't, I let them know and I had two brand new ones on the door step in three days. No question's asked.

I think I'm going to order a set of bubble bags from this site, and see how well that goes. If that ends well, I'll probably order this light set and a tent to get a SoG started...
