cooking with cannabutter

So I know how to make cannabutter (although I'm not sure on proportions....would a half oz of schwag to 1 stick of butter be about right?)
But I don't understand why using the butter in a recipe will not evaporate the thc.
I'm going to be baking some muffins, but the temps for baking those are around 350 degrees. Is 350(F) not too hot for the THC?
Edit: Google search found inconsistent vape temps for thc but according to Erowid the boiling point is 392 degrees!
That's a lot higher than I thought; I still may keep the temp at 300-325 though to be safe.
What about bud to butter ratio? A stick of butter to 1/2 Oz of bud or what? This is going to be schwag

325f is safe for pot brownies or cookies. 350 is pushing it from what I'm told.
Your strength is going to always vary based upon what plant material you start with. There is no harm in going light and finding out your limits. Overdoing it on edibles can create a very uncomfortable experience.
