Well, the little girl didn't wilt and die, so I guess I just stressed the hell out of her. Hopefully she doesn't herm on me.

Yeah, I am going to do low stress training throughout the grow. No topping, though. I may do some super cropping, but I will only do that if I feel the need. I mostly just plan on low stress training them and letting them get as big as they want without mutilation.
Thanks for the positive comment.

Sounds like a good plan, I'm excited to see how these turn out.
Something I've read about a few times, and I'm just starting to see manifest, is that C99 stems are too spindly to hold up the heavy buds they create. I've got a few leaning into each other all awkwardly, gonna have to stake them up soon. Not the worst thing that could happen I don't know if that characteristic will carry over into your cross, just a heads up.

Well, the eucalyptis has some really dense buds too. One of the prettiest plants that I have ever seen in flower, as well. A buddy of mine has grown these out before, so I've gotten to see them growing firsthand before trying it for myself. I'm excited to see how well these do. The sour bubble seems to be a very sturdy plant thus far. They seem to be pretty happy right now.

I just tied the tip down below the level of the lowest node. I thought that I was going to have to super crop it, because the main stem has gotten so thick already. I'm going to continue to keep the main tip on about the same level as the rest of the nodes so that I can get good light penetration to the rest of the growth sites.
On a side note, I noticed some yellowing on my lowest set of leaves this morning, but I'm not too worried about it. From what I remember that seems to be fairly common. I may need to get some cal mag, though. Just to be safe. There is calcium and magnesium in the feed that I am giving, but it may not be enough.

Not an update really. I do have a question, though. On my bigger plant, I have some leaves with some slightly lighter green around the edges of the blades. Can I get a diagnosis on what could be causing this? I water/feed about every 3-4 days with distilled water with 1/2 strength liquid karma and pro grow with a drop or 2 of super thrive. Here are some pictures of what I am describing.
Thanks for any replies.

I think they need more nitrogen. Never used liquid karma, but maybe it's time to increase dosage? Your leaves aren't burning at all, so you can afford to step it up a notch.

I am a couple of days late on my update this week, because I have been super busy at work and my a/c crapped out on me. Talk about a mad scramble! Luckily I was able to get a portable a/c unit in there to help keep the temps down. It still got up to around 90-92 deg F for a couple of hours today before I was able to get the a/c people out here. It's back to a cozy 77F in there now. I was stressing about the window unit compromising my safety last night. Funny but it was still sketch. Anyway, all is back to normal.
I have one Cindy99xEucalyptis seedling, but it is looking strange. I'll post pics in a minute of it and the 2 main bushes. They are starting to look nice. There's still the same minor deficiency issue on the bigger plant, but it's not serious and I have faith that it will be gone soon. I forgot how dull the veg stage is. I'm just glad that I am getting it comfortably set up in there. Soil can get pretty messy sometimes. Accidents always exacerbate that, of course. I can't count how many times I have bumped my head on the freakin light!
I'll post some pics in a little while. I have to take some more and I'll be back.

Here are some pics from earlier. The temps in there now are around 73 deg F. The a/c is working supa fine! The big girl's on the left, obviously. She(I hope!!!) is really starting to bush out. I upped the nutes on this feeding that I did tonight. Sour Bubble's supposed to be a hardy strain, but I still only used nutes at 60%. I'm trying to dial in while at the same time knock out this deprivation of N or whatever it is. It's a trouble shoot. They are exceeding my expectations thus far, though. I am very proud of my efforts up to this point, I have to say.
Here are some more pics.
These pics were taken prior to the watering/feeding and it kinda shows their thirst. I am really happy about getting this set up dialed in and can't wait to furthur this. If I only have 2 girls on this run, I will be stoked. I am loving the attention that I can give them and learn this set up. Sorry for teh drunken post, but YEAH! I feel good about this. This could be the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Let's not get too excited though, eh?

Just a small update. I think I am going to get it ready for 12/12 in there I have to get the timers hooked up and figure out a few things first. I think they are ready for flowering, though. I don't want them to get any bigger in the veg state, because I know they will explode once I start the flowering and I also want to try and finish up by the new year. Anyway, here are a few pics.

Day 1 of flowering
So, I got the room set up, the timer set for 12/12, and the hps bulb in to replace the mh. I also moved a portable a/c unit into the tent and have it venting into the attic via 6" ducting. The temps are dropping down into the upper 60s with the light off and the a/c running and up to around 75-77 deg F with the light on. I may have to raise the light a few inches to make up for the increased heat that the hps will put out. I had the tops of the plants about 8-9 inches away from the bulb with the mh with no stress, but I don't think I can get away with that with the hps. Anyway, wish me luck and send mad female vibes my way. Please and thank you.

No, the HPS just puts out more light for the ammount of heat it generates, compared to the MH which puts out significantly less light using the same wattage.
Think about it, if they are both 600W they are both generating the same amount of energy, the energy is what causes heat.

Thanks for the input on the filter. I didn't know that it really mattered where in the room it's placed. I have the oscillating fan and a/c pushing all of the air in that direction, too. Plus, the room's air is basically being recycled through the a/c and back into the space. There is the exhaust for the a/c pumping air into the attic, though. I'll get up there tomorrow to see if there is any smell escaping. I may need a bigger inline fan, too.

Yeah bro in a room or a tent either one. The heat from your light rises up . Along with the heat the smell is carried up . The filter when placed up high pulls out the smell, and allows the fan to remove more of the heat . Therefore allowing cooler air to be sucked from the bottom. Long story short is it will work a lot better up high. And so far your log looks great . keep us updated ....have a HeAdY DAY

third pic looks male, can't really tell with the rest. get a needle and poke it around, them male flowers will separate down the center, where as when you mess with a calyx it'll be noticeably one chunk. i've thought male before and it just turned out to need a few days for the pistils to come out though. i generally get 60-75% male's though
lookin at that last pic i'd def say that's male

if you notice some of the balls that your pre-flowers are made up of are already starting to come off the stem with their own stems, and i don't believe calyx's do that, they just cluster.

Just don't let it get you too discouraged, we all deal with this type of problem at some point. The C'99xKali Mist sounds like a good cross, and with 20 you're sure to pull at least 6-8 females. You really didn't even get much chance to build the log, I say you continue on and change the title. If they're soaking now they'll be ready for pics in no time. Good luck

Good try.
The electricity is generated by your power company or other local supplier (possibly you, if you make your own electricity).
For an incandescent or a HID light to work, they use filaments of different materials and enclose them in different environments. Materials and gases vary, thus creating the differences in construction between the lamp types (incandescent, MH, HPS).
The filament portion of the lamp is essentially a large resistor. Its job is to restrict the flow of a lot of electrons. These electrons get very excited and exit in what is typically known as radiation. Both kinds of radiation are produced with this type of lighting: visible (light) and non-visible (heat).
I hope this helps some.

Nice try, but the ballst supplies the power to the bulb, thus 'generating' the power from the original source i.e. the 110v outlet. Think you may need to look at the definition.. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/generate
Next time be sure you're correct before bustin' my balls

I'm not busting balls, but you are wrong. The ballast transforms the power generated elsewhere. All it is doing is tuning the energy in to the needs of the lamp.
I read your link and a ballast does not generate energy, even based on the link you supplied. A ballast does not do any of this:
1. to bring into existence; cause to be; produce. 2. to create by a vital or natural process. 3. to create and distribute vitally and profusely: He generates ideas that we all should consider. A good diplomat generates good will. 4. to reproduce; procreate. 5. to produce by a chemical process.
