Lol yeah right. It's one of the most physically demanding sports on the planet. You clearly don't understand how hard it is to run at a full sprint for 4 hours with direction changes every 3m while at the same time swinging a 400g racquet.
To put it in perspective, major league fastball ~95mph, from 60.5 feet away. you know it will be in a box of roughly 3ft^2, so you don't have to move.
Professional men's tennis serve comes at over 140mph from only 78 feet away and has to land in an area of 273ft^2.

I have not played for about 20 years but I do remember how tiring of a work out it was. Harry hit right on the head. Constant moving changing direction in a split second to hit the spot for the return. It is a great work out. Builds good hand and eye coordination too.

It's fun man, I just started playing a year ago, and I'm hooked.
I just play my brother all the time, we meet up, smoke a j on the court then just play til we are gassed. It's a win-win.

I love tennis. Gotta get some new strings on my racket and find someone to go halves on some court time this winter.
And hells yes it's a great way to meet smoking hot women. Friend of mine was a fat fuck in high school and managed to bang the shit out of this tight little gymnast on the tennis team.

It depends on how you play. If you're playing competitively: yes. If you're just hitting a ball around it's only as hard as you want to make it.
Even prosets like we played in high school (roughly a third the length of a professional match) are enough to thoroughly kick your ass if you're not in incredibly good shape.
One of my teachers liked to say tennis is a game for life. You just have to find someone willing to play to your speed

I remember seeing a report something like this list of the calories burned during various activities posted at the tennis club I used to take winter lessons at back in the day that listed competitive tennis separately from casual tennis. That report was a little different from the one I linked (it listed competitive tennis as either the best or very nearly the best exercise) but tennis is still at least as good for you as a fairly fast mile run.

I don't know if you've ever seen Federer or Nadal play, even Novak Jdocavic or however you spell his name, but tennis is a very physically demanding sport dude. That comment tells me you don't know much about it. You should check it out sometime. Pretty fun to watch.

I became a fan of Djokavic a while back. I think it was him and Federer playing. Forget which major or whatever, but Djokavic gave him a hell of a run for his money.
And I doubt anyone here has a rating. I bet you do though.
