First of all, I really want to say how much I love all you guys and how great of a community this is. The shroomery is nice, but the growery never let's you down. The growery is where it is at.
I might be embarking on my first trip soon, and I am very excited for it. It has been along time coming and I have done a shit load of reading/researching about it.
The substance I most likely will be using is Salvia Divinorium. I know it is an atypical psychedelic and I chatted with a few of you guys about it on here already. I won't allow the experience to "change my opinion" about psychedelics, I will do my best to use this sacred yet scary plant to the best of my abilities. Or maybe let this plant use me to the best of her abilites?
Things may change, maybe we will use a different entheogen or maybe something will happen and we won't be able to use any at all. Nothing is set in stone but the plan is probably something like this if it all works out. My friend is coming back in from Detroit in a few days. We will probably meditate for a while, do some art, meditate some more, and then go on the voyage. After word there will probably be some more art and meditation.
I have a few concerns.
First of all is drug interaction. I take adderall everyday, and I just recently found out that Salvia works on dopamine and lowers dopamine. I have heard bad things about medication that lower dopamine, but I assume since Salvia's after affects appear to be peaceful and loving for a lot of people, salvia doesn't lower dopamine in a dangerous or extreme way. But I would like some more information on this if anyone can help me.
Adderall works on dopamine so I was worried there may be some interactions. I was planning on skipping adderall the day I use salvia, but could that be a bad idea? If my dopamine levels are normally a little higher from the adderall could salvia possibly lowering them be dangerous? Could there be any interactions here?
The only other drugs I take is a low dose, 0.25mg, of xanax each night. I also sometimes take diphenoxylate/atropine and hyoscyamine for my IBS/IBD. Are there any dangerous interactions between salvia and these drugs? If so how long should I not use them before using salvia?
Diphenoxylate works as an opioid and salvia works on the kappa opioid receptors. Is this bad?
Beside those drugs all I really use is caffeine and acetaminophen type products.
Another small concern is lately I have been feeling sort of weird and I think I have vestibular migraine. Is it bad to use salvia if you are sick?
I am probably over thinking this whole thing but I want to be sure to be safe and respectful.
I have been reading up on entheogens for a long time and am looking forward to using salvia and other psychedelics. I would really love some love and good vibes from the growery.
Overall I am a happy person, I have some psychological issues like anxiety and OCD as well as somethings I want to work on in my life and I hope psychedelics could shed some light on them for me. From what I have read, they seem to be a beautiful and unique tool that can be spiritually, psychologically, and intellectually enlightening.
what x extract are you using? bouncing bear botanicals has got some reaaally good shit, the 20x. .2 of a gram bong pack and you will trip out of your miiinnndd.

Don't worry about being nervous, I was nervous before my first trip, then I forgot that I was nervous and suddenly realized I was awesome and that I should just be laughing at everything. As long as you know your on a drug, and that it will all end by itself after a while, you'll be sweet
