1st Growery Gathering (South-East)

Location: Camp Ground in the Smokey Mountains in East Tennessee.


If you are seriously interested pleas post here. Also, if you have any ideas feel free to post. I know most of you are from Cali, or Texas, but we do have quite a few southeast folks.

I'd be down for a SW gathering.  A gathering at a gathering is probably the best bet.  Bonaroo, rothbury, coachella, etc would be good.  I'm only going to the Mile High Festival this season.  November I'll also be going to the international drug policy reform conference hosted by DPA.  That should be awesome.  Its in November in northern New mexico though.

Well I live in North East FL so realistically I would want it to to be in one of the adjacent states. I'm not too fond of Georgia.

It should be somewhere where they got a lake to fish and camping sites.

yeah theres a festival in GA - alchemy oct 1-5 that would be cool to go too

as far as the gathering, im out of school from the end of july to the end of august

that would be the best time for me, and i would for sure make it. if it falls outside that timeframe, i;d only be able to make it up for a weekend, and if not in GA then probably only if i could catch a ride with someone.

before or after classes start back(which is around mid to late august)
a weekend? a week?
camping somewhere? a show or festy?

i personally can prob do either before or after classes. i know i've got a few other things planned but probably nothing i couldn't move around.

i love camping so i'd be down to stay however long honestly. i guess time may conflict with some peoples schedule so they could leave whenever they needed to.

going to a show or festy would be a little easier prob.BUT that is more money that i prob don't have and i imagine some of you guys are in my same spot. so camping somewhere is my vote.

has the state gotten narrowed down yet?

If both I and Stoney go we will definitely be riding together. I don't see why you couldn't join us. The more the merrier. My Suburban seats up to 8 if we need to take it. If any are interested in just hanging out by a fire all weekend in my back yard, that will be doable in a week or so. Most any time later than that is also doable. I just need a few days at least and no more than a week advance notice.

Inside house will probably be off limits. Got a small camper out back though. Not really configured for sleeping currently so much as hanging out in. Seats 6 or 7 with everyone having a view of a monitor and shit. Got a few tents that I can set up. Some lighting (strobes, neons, xmas lights, black lights etc..) and a fog machine if we feel like getting funkadelic.

Lot's of woods to romp in. Hopefully both of my 4 wheelers will be running and maybe can borrow a couple more. Nothing special or extreme by any means but they run good and roll at least. Can hook a trailer up to one or two of em and party in tow some. lol Hunting season (bow) is in so most all good trails are currently off limits. Got a few small close ones though that we can use without being bothered. ie: Shot in the neck by a drunk, blood thirsty redneck with one of these.




I'm out in the sticks but Raleigh and Durham are only 30 mins away.

Drama will not be tolerated in the slightest. Removal by most any force necessary of any trouble maker is no problem at all and will be done if needed. No cops or shit like that. You cause trouble you will get hurt. Simple. Be warned.

All are welcome to come party/camp redneck style if you want. Just let me know.

Your personal friends/family are welcome as guest of your responsibility as well.

Bring your own everything.

From now until the weather turns bitter cold is the best time of year to hang at my crib imo. Aside from hunting season making the woods and fields risky.

5:00 on a Monday morning and I've got a large fire going in the ring in front of the camper out back. Several monitors out there are playing a DVD. Black lights, xmas light strings and, sound tracking neons are on. Big screen in the house is being channel surfed with the turbo HD dish. I'm in and out. Tee is brewing, incense burning, bowl and half a j at the ready along with various other possibilities ready for consumption. 4 wheeler, 4WD Suburban. Trails start in the yard. 2 motor boats, 6 canoe/kayaks ready. River a mile away. Two large lakes within 30 mins. Tags are expired on some of that. :shrug: Climbing gear ready for the one little local climb down the road. A million places and ways to just sit and chill. The list goes on....

The possibilities are endless. :gethigh:

Most from the dome are welcome to come and stay for a while.

that would be sick. I'd do my best to make it over there for that if I could work around current circumstances. more than anything I would just be a little strapped on cash. I've got a lot of financial shit coming up in my future and can't really afford to be doing to much. Having said that I might be coming over to ATL for the Nuggets vs. Hawks game in a few months and possibly again for the Furthur show. Last year's performance was nasty, they even threw a Liberty into the set list. Too awesome for words :rockon:

Yeah, the 19th of December was the last day I smoked. Longest Break in ooohhhhhhh six years or so. Reality and people are a trip all their own. But yeah I'd love to grab some food and get acquainted as well as figure some shit out. I'll let you know if I'm gonna be able to make it or not as the date approaches. I heard tickets sold out in presale but w/e that's never stopped me before. I'm sure we have some mutual...friends in the area. But yeah, I'll be in touch. Stay up and I'll have to hit you up and get info for the OTR and shit because I failed to get it yet and haven't saved the instructions you passed on already.
