Yeah, I've done the same. Except I used a gallon milk container.
What do you plan on doing for thier final containers. They're going to grow out of those 2 liter bottle within 2 weeks. Depending on what type of lighting your using I'd recommend going into 5 gallon buckets pretty soon.

Theyre in a rubbermaid setup right now but its so annoying to work with that im contemplating finding an old dresser or making a box out of particle board from scratch
