if i didn't know any better i'd say you lived around me!  I've got a very very similar view from my balcony.  walking in the snow to go to class ftl!!!  you should sell bud and get a car man.  or, better yet, a 4x4.

^make it oregon or WA, I know oregon has really relaxed mmj laws.

yeah, most people dont know that albuquerque is also at around 5200 feet elevation.  I was really surprised to find that out when i moved up here.  We also got some snow today so the mtns are covered in it.  here's a pic of the mtn we have just to the east of the city.

I was surprised the first time I visited the Querqe also. I love how old your mountains are. I wonder how tall that beast was before it started eroding like 10 million years ago. you can see how old it is, I love it!

If not, then how is a 30 year old considered a pedophile for doing the same thing?
I think y'all need to look up the definition for pedophile.

Beautiful.

Its that muddy, wet, melty crappy snow weather here. I can't complain - as long as this shit is melting, I don't care. I just wish it would go faster.

Heres my casa...one particularly pretty morning.

well I'm technically right on the plains at the base of where the range starts. Those look a lot smaller than they are in that picture because I took it with my shitty camera phone too, they rise about 6000 vertical feet from where my house is. They are technically hills compared to some of the mountains we have here, but here's a better picture of them for you

But in case you're actually trying to say that colorado doesn't have mountains....

I drove to Winter Park from here.  Of all the states I have seen, I would say nebraska was the worst.  At least Iowa had pot plants growing all over the place (hemp).  I wish I could find my pictures from that trip.

Winter Park was the shit, and the name of the particular mountain was "Mary Jane", So I bought a bunch of memorabilia...

Oh I'm sure it does, but they're not very impressive imo compared to our mounds of rocks over here...

Here are some pictures I took when I was still in high school +3000M up.

Picture from my window and driveway

Random pictures from a hike:

and of course just for giggles, this isn't where I lived but recently somewhere I went snowboarding (+4500M):

 your mountains just aren't as old as ours is all. ours used to be that tall, but they've been eroding for longer than your mountains have even existed. it's a different kind of beauty.
Also, you can't judge the whole state just based on where I am. I'm right on the front range of the entire cluster fuck of the Rocky Mountains. they're just foothills here, but about 40 miles west of me....

Lol, wow how random. What does that have to do with anything? I guess your right? lol.

I still don't find the rockies impressive no matter how long they've been around for. Just because somethings been around.

In any case, this would be a stupid discussion and I'm not looking to troll your thread, so let's just not go there... but I'm curious as to where you got your information because wikipedia says otherwise.

I was mentioning age because I inferred from your post that you're not impressed by ours because they aren't as pointy as yours? I don't understand what else you could have meant by that, because looking at the pictures I posted I'd say colorado's mountains are at least as "rocky" and high altitude as yours.

I don't understand why you're not impressed by the rockies. I think it's pretty arrogant of you to say that all mountains in the world are lame just because you live in the Alps, they aren't the tallest/most impressive in the world. Your tallest mountain is only 1000 feet taller than ours anyway, so what makes ours less impressive? plus, the Rockies is the longest mountain range in the world, so isn't that impressive in it's own right? stretches almost completely from one pole to another.

I guess I'm just baffled at how you can appreciate your mountains and then completely discard something as impressive as the rockies. I guess you hate america?

And your mountains are much younger, the way the continental plates move is evidence. Yours are still growing, whereas ours stopped growing tens of thousands of years ago and now merely erode. that's why parts of these mountains look like hills, even though they still have elevations of more than 4000m

no Furrowed that's not what I'm saying at all. I don't think the rockies are better than the alps, just as I don't think the alps are better than the rockies. I think ALL mountains are cool, and it's frankly kinda stupid to try and claim otherwise

This argument is worthless.  How can anyone argue that one mountain is better than another?  He has experienced the mountains he posted, so obviously he would have an affinity toward them, same goes for you harry.  Maybe a bit more psychedelics would help you both.

Alright harry, I was just teasing you but I can see that you just didn't get it. I tried to indicate that in the language by saying mound of rocks and hills but I guess it just flew over your head. The rockies are just as impressive if not more than any mountain range in the world. They are just different. I am not quarreling with you. I was being playful but fine, obviously there is no room for this on the growery.

wow man for fucks sake. I'm sorry I didn't detect your internet sarcasm very well, but you didn't do a very good job of explaining it. you made multiple posts talking about how you hated the rockies, how was I supposed to know?

I don't even understand what you're so upset about right now. I wasn't even ripping on your mountains, I was just talking about how I love ALL mountains worldwide... what's got your panties in a bunch?

once again I don't understand why you're so angry here... did I rip on you or your home country at all here? I was merely stating facts. our mountains are old. some of them are rounded from erosion. What is so facepalm about any of that? I don't understand what's got you so angry... I never once in this thread attacked you or anything that you like in any way. why so negative?

I still don't see it as a fight, we just misunderstood each other. He thought I was shitting on his country, and I thought he was shitting on my state, but neither of us were doing that. we've sorted it out via pm and all's well.
