yeah, the sound his head makes on that pole is just incredibly tragic 
I'm such an avid olympics watcher I couldn't believe when that happened. cast a pall over the entire event this year

I had heard about it the day it happened but this is my first time actualy seeing the footage.. thats terrible.

Yeah, his head basically just squished like a watermelon... Not cool.
Having those giant steel poles directly next to the track isn't a very logical idea in my mind either, but it was a FREAK accident.
At least he didn't feel a thing...

Did anyone happen to catch his dad talking on TV, he said the day before they were talking and the dude said he was thinking about pulling out because he didnt feel comfortable on that turn, but then he decided to go for it

Ya thats just along the lines of what I told my mom when she was making a really big deal about it.
Not that its not a big deal but homosapians words should be taken into consideration.
