and found some pork tenderloin for $1.88 a pound
but you had to buy the whole 11lb tenderloin

You've got to stay hydrated; if you're doing a long term fast like mine, you need a source of calories/minerals like juice or the like.
I'm actually doing a very well known cleanse called The Master Cleanser, so I drink a gallon of this concoction every day.  In every quart it has 2 tbsp. of fresh squeezed lemon juice, 2 tbsp of grade B maple syrup, and 1/10 of a tsp. of cayenne pepper.  Its actually incredible how good I feel, high energy, very mild urge to eat.

Yep, after a few days, all of the digestive enzymes and beneficial bacteria are pretty much gone from you GI tract, so putting food in there in that state can make you very sick.

If I ate anything right now, I would be sick for a week or more because it would all just be rotting and fermenting in my stomach.

Spency: I ease back in to solid food by drinking just juice for a day, then juice and vegetable broth the next day, and then the third day is fruits and veggies only.  After that you're good to go again; its also a good idea to eat some yogurt or a supplement with some probiotics so that you can boost the number of beneficial bacteria in your GI tract.

While you fast you have to keep the intestinal tract moving, so I drink a laxative tea every morning and 32 oz of water with 2 tsp of salt in it at night.  I literally am shitting 6-8 times a day.  Gross, no?

I bought an 11lb pork loin for $20 a few weeks ago
mushrooms are cheap and a bag of dry peas is cheap too
the whole meal didn't cost more than $10 including charcoal
and that fed me and my wife, w/a shit load of peas leftover for tomorrow

I want to make a baked chicken parmesan on rotini pasta..

Anyone got some tips for baking it?

I normally don't bake.
I start by boiling the pasta while dipping the chicken in beaten egg then rolling that around in bread crubs.
While the pasta's boiling I fry the breaded chicken.
Once pasta's done I put sauce on teh strained pasta and drop the breaded chicken on top.

I want to bake it tonight though, I think it'll taste better. :crazy2:

I would suggest browning the chicken in the frying pan then finishing in the oven, other wise you end up with an overly browned surface by the time the middle is cooked. Stick the chicken in the oven about 350 for 20-25 minutes, pull it out cut into one, make sure its done. Then add your Mozzarella or cheese of choice ( I do mozz and parm as the parm browns more than melts) stick it back in the oven under the broiler and watch closely for 2-3 minutes, pull it out when it's melted/browned to your liking.

You could also put the chicken on top of the pasta and cheese the whole thing before you broil, get everything nice and melty.
