I have an idea. I've noticed that quite a bit of us can play an instrument.
I say we all combine our talents to make something cool.
The game goes like this:
Someone starts off with a riff.
Then, someone else adds to it, but don't fuck up the tempo. 
And then, someone else will add on to the new subsequent riff (the combination of Riff 1 and Riff 2).
You can use any instrument, but you have to add on to the whole song.
And then it just keeps going.
Also, you can either add onto a riff, or start a new path for the song. So, yes, cool guitar solos are a plus. But, rhythm guitarists, don't be sad. You guys are welcomed, too.
I won't post a riff right now because I'm not sure if anyone will participate.
So, if you're interested, let's do this bitch.
And at the end, someone with a good music editing program should mash it all up into something cool.

i can rip guitar but i dont have a way to get it on the growery. ive got pro tools but no headphones right now. dont know how to get it from pro tools to here anyway

I recommend the sennheiser e609 and blue usb adaptor. Cheap, acceptably clear sound for micing amps.

A long time ago I thought it would be a cool idea to make a program where a microphone and a converter would be all you needed to make music with people all across the globe.
It could easily be done but I still have not found a site like that or that tech.
It would be like a jam lovers youtube. It could be real time, or even just set riffs to layer upon other peoples shit.
It would be great, and if it existed I know it would be very popular.
If the internet keeps up the way it is, someone is going to make millions off of this idea and I know many other people have had this idea. That is sort of inevitable.
I play the guitar, piano, bass, drum set, sax, flute, HAND DRUMS, and almost everything related to those instruments.
Wish I could share my music with you people with ease.
If I find a way that is viable, Ill layer some shit with my piano or something.

But, I thought I might as well contribute by providing a riff. Right now, we're in the brainstorm phase. So, whatever creative shit you guys come up with, please post them. If something sounds cool, we can work off of it.

sound is some of it but primarily for me it's the neck dimensions. I prefer a much thicker rounded out neck, have a soft v shape neck.

i love my 1980 black beauty les paul custom so much , i got all types of guitars strats , teles , gretsch's i definatly like the les paul custom the most tho, through a marshall amp the tones you can get are just amazing.

i havent tried a crate amp, i have a few really versatile marshall amp set ups and a peavey bass rig, with my boss pedal board case and vox tonelab i can achieve whatever tones i need , im mainly a classical guitar player and bass player tho . . so if i hear u guys coming up with something chill and u sent me a chord chart i can work on some basslines n shit

Experimental. I love just getting high and playing whatever sounds good and improvising off of it.
I like getting classical, too. I just fuck around with chords and different rhythms. I'm not really big on different genres and such. I taught myself guitar so I kind of have my own style.

Alright so Im going to make myself do something with this.
Plus a bump for the noobs that havent seen this and may have something to offer...
I just downloaded that last little guitar sequence you posted and im going to mess around with it in FL studio soon mostly just for fun practice, but well see what comes of this... in the meantime anybody else wanna give this another go and possibly collab?
Ill leave some room in the mix for someone that wants to add or something...
So start posting some ideas and stuff about this...
who else here has a DAW and or recording stuff n whatnot?
I could edit and mashup all your guys ideas together and stuff...
Also recording in time with a metronome would help a lot instead of just freestyle. (but dont make the click audible on the track)
And if you have an acoustic putting the mic more near the body of the guitar would probably reduce the amount of string squeaking when sliding on the frets...
Im not doing anything serious, just having some fun...

Wow so I just spend an hour working on something and my computer just froze up so its gone
although I cut some loops and tried time stretching the samples and everything but it was still going off tempo on some parts...
Would you record something like a complex sweep sequence thats really chill and slow in lets say 120 BPM?, preferably with the electric hookup.

Yeah I'll try and find another setting to record on. I just changed the strings too so they picked up the finger noise more than normal. Don't know why the other clip isn't working. Oh well.
